Hustlers to be Released Nationwide in Spanish on the TheaterEars App
Burbank - TheaterEars, the app the empowers moviegoers to enjoy a film at the movie theater in Spanish using just their smartphone and earbuds, announced today that they will be releasing STXfilms’ highly acclaimed Hustlers nationwide in Spanish on the TheaterEars app.
Inspired by the viral New York Magazine article, Hustlers follows a crew of savvy former strip club employees who band together to turn the tables on their Wall Street clients. The film has generated rave reviews from critics at the Toronto International Film Festival and even Oscar buzz for Jennifer Lopez.
“There are tens of millions of Latinos in the United States that aren’t going to the movies because of the language barrier,” said Dan Mangru, CEO of TheaterEars. “The team at STX have been terrific to work with and we are proud to be able to present this film to a wider audience.”
The release of Hustlers comes on the heels of TheaterEars announcing Lin-Manuel Miranda as the company’s Global Ambassador.
To reach Spanish speaking audiences for the film, Lopez recorded a video which can be seen below.
