Black Panther: Wakanda Forever #1 at the Box Office?

There are two peak seasons for movies during the year: Summer Box Office and Awards season (November/December). Usually these times are filled with the best of the best. Whether its a big action blockbuster or a period drama, the movies come out to play during these peak times.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever was released on November 11, 2022. We just came off of Thanksgiving weekend. Barring one of the most stunning miscalculations in recent memory, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever should be the number 1 movie in America until December 15 and the release of Avatar: The Way of the Water. That’s six whole weeks, which might as well be an eternity.

What’s even more remarkable is that Black Panther: Wakanda Forever will be replaced by another movie from the same studio, Disney. Based on current tracking, Avatar: The Way of the Water may be the number #1 movie in America for even longer than 6 weeks.
