New Black Panther Wakanda Forever Trailer

Oh man!!!! It’s less than a month until we get to see Black Panther back on the big screen in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.

Audiences have been clamoring for the next installment of the Marvel Cinematic Universe since it was originally announced back in October 2018. While Ryan Coogler returns to direct along with Lupita Nyong’o as Nakia, Letitia Wright as Shuri, Danai Gurira as Okoye, Florence Kasumba as Ayo, Winston Duke as M’Baku, Angela Bassett as Queen Ramonda and Martin Freeman as Everett Ross, there’s no way to fill the gaping hole in this movie left by the untimely passing of Chadwick Boseman, who played King T’Challa (aka Black Panther).

The “Wakanda Forever” cast includes Lupita Nyong’o as Nakia, Letitia Wright as Shuri, Danai Gurira as Okoye, Florence Kasumba as Ayo, Winston Duke as M’Baku, Angela Bassett as Queen Ramonda and Martin Freeman as Everett Ross, all reprising their roles from the first “Black Panther.” Director Ryan Coogler introduced series newcomers Tenoch Huerta, who plays the main antagonist Namor, Mabel Cadena, Alex Livinalli, Dominique Thorne, who will debut as the young power-suited hero Ironheart, and Michaela Coel during Marvel’s Hall H panel at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con in July.

Boseman last appeared in the MCU on the blockbuster film Avengers: Endgame, which broke domestic and global box office records, and marked the end of phase 3 of the MCU.

Back at this year’s Comic-Con it was only fitting that Kevin Feige announced that Black Panther: Wakanda Forever will close out phase 4 for the MCU. It was there when the first trailer of Wakanda Forever set to the rhythms of Bob Marley’s “No Woman No Cry” (covered by Nigerian singer Tems). Audiences felt the emotions of how Wakanda said goodbye to their King. Then through the music, Ryan Coogler masterfully let’s his audience know that everything was going to be “Alright” through the sounds of Kendrick Lamar.

The moving trailer garnered over 172 million views in the first 24 hours, one of the biggest responses of all time for an MCU movie.

That set the stage for today’s new trailer, which allows us to travel even further into the world of a post-T’Challa Wakanda.

We won’t spoil it for you, but it seems as though Coogler and Feige still have a few tricks up their sleeve for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.
