Simply load the app select your movie, showtime and language to get the movie track on your phone. When you arrive at the movietheater, TheaterEars will sync to the movie through your phone's microphone and then play the full movie soundtrack in your chosen language. My family almost never have gone to movie theaters because only my siblings and I would understand. We’d feel guilty of our parents going with us but not understanding, so we would just wait until it came out on a streaming service in their language. Today I took my parents to watch Mufasa, without knowing if this app was gonna actually work or not. And not only did my parents finally got the chance to listen to the movies “live”. It healed a bit of me, seeing them laugh, and understanding the movie. It just brings a different type of joy. Highly recommend. If I could rate this app any higher, I would. Thank you
Amazing for parents!
I cannot thank this app enough for helping my mom understand a movie for once in her life :( <3!! she finally understood the movie and laughed throughout it all! The app itself was super easy to use and it synced 30 seconds in the movie and get this it was completely free!!! I recommend this app <3! Thank you guys!
location permissions and others
It would be a very good App if they didn't force you to always have location permissions activated, they don't let you set it alone when using the App because when you enter it it doesn't show you anything in the App if you don't always give it permission, you also have to log in to the account every time you open the App
Update: After the developer's response indicating that it is for security, why do they require the location to always be active and not just when using the app?

For security reasons the app must be able to verify whether you are in the movie theater or not because the movie tracks can only be played back at the movie theater during an approved showtime. If you ever have problems with the app, please email support@theaterears.com and they will assist you right away.
